eden's pc build!ox
Hello! I did my best to include links where I could (the buttons underneath take you to the sites where I purchased the item!). Some items may change shortly, as I’m still in the process of upgrading from a gaming laptop with bare essentials. Feel free to DM me with any questions. I may not be able to troubleshoot or answer building questions, but I can do my best to answer anything!
All items are compatible with an LGA 1700 socket motherboard. If the components match this, then you could easily substitute a few parts for upgrades or affordability!
I went for a black, customizable RGB theme. This is to match my bedroom and the PC accessories I already own!

Accessories
Keyboard: CLEAR OBSIDIAN Base 65 Keyboard. I wanted something with silent switches and not a lot of resistance to the keys. This is literally my dream keyboard
Mouse: Model O Minus Mini in glossy black. I’ve had this mouse for 4 years and I absolutely love it! I use 800 dpi settings. If you’re interested in my overwatch settings for d.va and mercy, let me know and I can make another page :D
Mic: Hyper X Quadcast. This is genuinely the best mic I have ever owned. 10/10 would recommend. RGB is sick plus as well!
Headphones: Bose Quiet Comfort. I usually use these for class since they're bluetooth, but they also come with an aux so they can be used as regular headphones as well (without charging needed!) I had other headphones, but the wire became stripped bc they were old :(
Monitor: ASUS TUF Gaming 23.8” 1080P Monitor (165 hz) in Black. FINALLY GOT MY NEW ONE !!
Other Info
After Effects 2020- my editing software of choice. I’m aware that there are new versions, but I like this one the best!
Media Encoder 2020- same thing, I like this version!
Topaz- This is how I get better quality on sad looking clips. 10/10 would recommend
Plugins- Magic Bullet Looks, Red Giant, Instant 4k, ReelSmart Motion Blur, Twixtor Pro, Sapphire, VHS, Pixel Sorter
VLC- This is how I download youtube videos. I’m sure there's a tutorial somewhere how to do this, but I find this easier to use than websites that can give viruses
Malwarebytes- Please keep your pc protected!
Extension Cords- I have the 24 pin Lian Li Strimer Plus and 8 pin Lian Li Strimer Plus to connect my motherboard and GPU. My mom got me the 24 pin for Christmas :D
Others: I have a small sunday stand and a mini mercy funko pop inside my PC bc I'm a little nerd :3 I also have a sunday mousepad on the way that I am SO excited about (I love supporting artist on etsy !!)
PC parts
CPU: Intel Core i7 12700K. This supports After Effects Rendering well. This is an upgrade from my current i5, which will increase render power and speeds. If you’ve been editing for a while, The i7 is a great choice! Most forums recommend the i7 over the i9. However, this motherboard can use an i9 as well. This cut my render time down by about half from an i3 and 1660.
GPU: MSI NVIDIA RTX 3050 Ventus 2X XS 8G OC 8GB in Black. The games that I play aren’t too graphics heavy (hoyoverse games, overwatch 2, osu, wuthering waves valorant), however I still wanted an upgrade from my 1660 that could give better fps than I had. I am getting about 120 fps on high graphic in overwatch and consistently over 300 fps in valorant. I run Honkai Star Rail, Wuthering Waves, Honkai Impact, and Genshin Impact on high graphics with full visual effects. I have not checked the fps, but it is at least 60 fps.
Motherboard: MSI Z790 Gaming Plus WiFi (LGA 1700 socket) in Black. This motherboard will allow for upgrades if necessary.
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2x16GB) DDR5. Pretty RAM :) no but seriously, after effects eats up RAM like crazy. I get warnings with 16GB all of the time, and this was already after an upgrade to my laptop. So 32GB it is! The increased RAM has made a huge difference while actually in After Effects, where things don’t lag or take forever to cache. I've also been able to branch out into some 3d and camera work!
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower GX2 600W 80 Plus Gold ATX in Black. This may be subject to change. Reddit scared me :(
SSD: Samsung Geek Squad Certified Refurbished 870 EVO 1TB. Editors need that storage space for edits! 500GB just isn’t doing it for me, between that and college I have like 10GB left on my laptop :/ This one happens to be external, which I’m not really happy about because it means more wires, but oh well.
Case: NZXT H7 Elite 2023 ATX Mid-Tower w/ 3 pre-installed fans. I got the arthritis so I wanted to get as much pre-installed stuff as possible. Plus I like the fish tank looks, I wanna see my hard work :D My grandma also likes this one, so I got it of course. The only downside is that it is EXTREMELY heavy. I cannot lift this on my own!!
Cooling: NZXT Kraken 360 RGB (3x120mm fans and LCD display) and 1 Be Quiet! Fan in black. I’ll be honest, I don’t need an LCD screen on a cooler but I want to put Sunday there :3 This specific one comes with thermal paste already on there, so it’s ready for installation out of the box. Between this and my fans, my PC has never exceeded 35 degrees Celcius.
I chose this extra fan because I needed a fan towards the back. I decided just to get a plain one because with the way the PC is placed, you can’t really see it anyways
OS: Windows 11. Because Windows 10 is no longer available for purchase :(
Directly from Microsoft. Download the OS onto a USB and purchase a product key from their website for easier installation!
